AC Milan preparing January loan approach for Joshua Zirkzee

AC Milan are preparing to revive their interest in Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee at the turn of the year, EyeFootball reports. Despite signing Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, the Rossoneri are said to be eyeing an additional forward and view Zirkzee as a long-term target.
The club is likely to propose a short-term loan for the former Bologna striker, including an option to buy at the end of the campaign. Milan manager Ruben Amorim — who reportedly worked with Zirkzee at United — has given the green light for a move, according to the report.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Milan can expect competition: Everton, Juventus and Fiorentina are also tracking Zirkzee. Manchester United appear open to letting the Netherlands forward depart if they can secure a suitable replacement in the transfer market; Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta is named as a top target for United.
Any formal proposal from Milan would be timed for when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
