Barcelona rule out Julian Álvarez in January; Liverpool keep Wirtz

WHAT HAPPENED
Barcelona have ruled out signing Argentina forward Julian Álvarez from Atlético Madrid in the January window, according to reports. The 24-year-old is reportedly waiting to see whether Paris St-Germain or Arsenal submit offers or whether he should remain at Atlético.

Liverpool will not allow Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz to join Bayern Munich in January, with reports adding that Bayern would consider a move only next summer if Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise turns down a new contract.

Chelsea's primary midfield targets are reported to be Bournemouth's Alex Scott, 23, and Crystal Palace and England's Adam Wharton, 22. The same report says Chelsea are no longer interested in Monaco and Senegal's Lamine Camara, 22.
