Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick admitted the boos from supporters “hurt a lot” after his side conceded a late equaliser and were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham in the Premier League.

WHAT HAPPENED
Carrick was speaking after Manchester United surrendered a late goal that left the match level at 1-1. He said the fans’ reaction was painful but insisted the squad have to deal with it, saying they “must cope with it”.

WHY IT MATTERS
Carrick acknowledged the emotional impact of the supporters’ response while emphasising the need for the team to handle that pressure internally.
