Declan Rice reported close to signing new long-term Arsenal contract
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is reportedly close to agreeing a new long-term contract with the club, BBC Sport says. The move would follow a three-year spell in which Rice has been a central figure for the Gunners and helped end their league title drought.

According to the report, Rice currently earns around £240,000 per week and the new deal would see his wages move closer to Bukayo Saka's reported package of £350,000 per week. The midfielder has been linked with Real Madrid in the past but has made clear he is happy at Arsenal, the report adds.

Manager Mikel Arteta signed a new contract earlier on October 7, 2026, and it is widely expected that Rice will formalise his own extension in the coming days, BBC Sport says.
