Emily Fox, the United States international who joined Arsenal from North Carolina Courage in 2024, is understood to have signed a new three-year contract with the club. The 28-year-old described continuing at Arsenal as “an easy decision” and said she sees the club as an environment where she can keep growing.
KEY CONTEXT
Fox has been a regular since her arrival and has made almost 100 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions. She was part of the Arsenal squads that won the Women’s Champions League in 2025 and the Women’s Champions Cup in 2026; in her first season at the club she also won the Women’s League Cup. Fox has been named in the PFA team of the year in each of the last two campaigns and BBC Sport has reported she previously had a year remaining on her contract, with Arsenal confident she would remain at the club.
WHAT SHE SAID
Fox highlighted the club’s investment in the women’s game and the sense of belonging at Arsenal, saying the decision was driven by where she wants to be “now, and in a few years' time.” She also acknowledged unfinished business at club level, saying the WSL title is an important target: “There is definitely some unfinished business. We want to keep going, keep winning and maybe get some things that we've already won before too.”
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Fox is also preparing for a busy summer with the United States under manager Emma Hayes as they build toward the 2027 Women’s World Cup. She noted the national team will play Spain twice at home in October and said November brings qualification objectives.
