Flex your football brain with our daily quizzes

WHAT HAPPENED
BBC Sport Football has published its daily set of interactive quizzes. The current quiz content — questions, clues and answers — is credited to Flora Snelson, Joe Rindl and BBC Sport user Murray Hope (from Craigellachie). The quizzes include different formats: a timed "Five in Five" challenge and a single-question "Brainteaser".

The page explains the gameplay mechanics: an incorrect guess reveals an additional clue, and needing fewer clues awards more points. The brainteaser gives players up to five incorrect attempts before the solution is shown.

KEY CONTEXT
The site offers a dedicated Football Quizzes hub and a broader Sports Quizzes section, where users can find further daily quizzes and opt in for notifications. The quiz page also includes prompts about what information is collected from participants, though the excerpt does not specify the exact data elements. A contact form is available for user queries.

WHY IT MATTERS
These features turn routine match knowledge into a short, repeatable test of recall and accuracy. The scoring and clue-unlock mechanics reward quicker, more precise answers, while the five-life limit on the brainteaser increases the challenge. The notification option and central quiz pages make it straightforward for regular users to follow and engage with new content.
