Reports say Juventus and AC Milan are interested in Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui and could pursue him during the upcoming winter transfer window. Interest follows strong performances by the Moroccan at the World Cup over the summer.
KEY CONTEXT
The report states Juventus had shown interest before the summer deadline, but Manchester United made it clear Mazraoui was not for sale at that time. AC Milan’s manager, Ruben Amorim, is said to have a fond relationship with Mazraoui and would reportedly welcome a reunion.
United signed Mazraoui for around £17m and are described as remaining adamant he will not be sold during this campaign. The same reporting adds a transfer could become possible only if United secure a suitable replacement and are able to recoup the fee they paid.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
According to the claims, Juventus and Milan could revisit a move for Mazraoui this winter, but any sale hinges on Manchester United’s willingness to sanction a departure and find cover for the position.
