Viktor Gyokeres sets Nations League scoring record for Sweden

WHAT HAPPENED
Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres continued a rich scoring run for Sweden by finding the net in the 1-1 Nations League draw with Bosnia & Herzegovina yesterday. The goal extended a run that now sees him score in each of his last six Nations League appearances — a feat the source says has never been achieved in the competition.

INTERNATIONAL FORM
Gyokeres has scored in Sweden's last three matches under manager Graham Potter, contributing to the unprecedented streak in the Nations League.

CLUB CONTEXT
The striker's international form contrasts with a quiet start to the domestic season. Gyokeres has logged just 29 minutes in the Premier League so far for Arsenal and has been largely behind Kai Havertz in the pecking order. Havertz returned early from international duty with a hamstring issue and is described as a huge doubt for Arsenal's trip to Leeds United next weekend.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
With Havertz doubtful, Gyokeres — who has already scored three times against Leeds in two appearances — could make his first Premier League start of the campaign in the forthcoming fixture. The club's selection for that match is the next clear development noted in the source.
