WHAT HAPPENED
Wales captain Ben Davies says his side are determined to prove they can thrive in Nations League A when they host Denmark in Cardiff on Sunday. Davies, a 103-cap Tottenham defender, spoke after Wales ended a six-game winless run by beating Norway 2-1 in Cardiff, a result the squad described as their first-ever victory in the Nations League's top tier.

KEY CONTEXT
Davies said Wales laid “a good marker down the other night [against Norway] to show that we do belong playing against these teams” and that the performance restored confidence in the group. Wales' win was aided by an early second-half red card for Norway defender Torbjorn Heggem, but Davies added the team had troubled Norway before the sending-off.

Manager Craig Bellamy must make changes to the side that started on Thursday because of injuries. Wales will again be without Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Dylan Lawlor, David Brooks and Harry Wilson due to injury, the source confirmed.

Denmark arrive in Cardiff ranked 21st in the Fifa rankings, 17 places above Wales. Davies highlighted the importance of home advantage, saying: “It does make a big difference going away. We didn't get a grip on the game [in Denmark] whereas when we played Norway in Cardiff, it's our home, our fans, our atmosphere.”

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Wales face Denmark at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday. The team will look to build on the confidence from the Norway victory and make home advantage count against a higher-ranked opponent.
