Wolves and West Brom warn fans over behaviour after trouble at last derby
What happened
Wolves and West Bromwich Albion have issued a joint warning to supporters ahead of their first league meeting in five years, saying there will be serious consequences for anyone who engages in violence or disorder.

The clubs set out the message before Sunday's Championship match at Molineux and highlighted trouble at an FA Cup meeting between the teams in 2024. That fixture led to 43 arrests, 12 people being charged and sentenced, and five supporters given permanent club bans. Play at The Hawthorns during that tie was halted for 38 minutes after police were assaulted, missiles were thrown and flares were set off.

Match preparations and security measures
The clubs said supporters could "expect enhanced stewarding, policing, robust ticketing controls and additional safety measures" for the game. They added they had worked "closely with the Safety Advisory Group, local authorities and police to ensure appropriate arrangements" were in place for the match, which kicks off at 12:00 BST.

Rules and potential consequences for fans
Supporters were reminded that anyone found engaging in violence, discriminatory behaviour, entering the pitch or trackside areas, throwing missiles, using pyrotechnics or breaching ground regulations risks arrest, prosecution, football banning orders and long-term or permanent exclusion from their club.

Fans were also asked to:
- use only tickets bought through official channels and sit in the correct designated home or away area (those in incorrect areas may be refused entry or ejected and face further sanction)
- arrive in good time for security searches and entry procedures
- follow instructions from stewards and police and report unsafe, discriminatory or anti-social behaviour

The clubs added: "The overwhelming majority of Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters attend this fixture to support their team passionately and responsibly, and we are confident that will once again be the case."
